Legal research as it pertains to corporate identity includes naming and registration of brand assets that are to be protected by law. This includes overall corporate identity marks and logotype, product names that will become trademarked (a legal claim) “™ (trademark) or ℠ (service mark)” or registered as a trademark “®” (A Registration with the United States Trade and Patent Office USPTO).
